Have just discovered your wonderful site during a day spent coughing and spluttering around my house...is it the 'swine flu'? Who knows? Haven't heard any oinking yet, so perhaps just a nasty virus!! The highlight of my day was finding this site...can't wait to wade my way through it. The accountant in me (ok, so it has been 30 years since I was a real accountant in NYC) decided to begin at the beginning, so number 1 was a delicious treat. Love the variety, the music, your description of your view, your warmth and humour. Thank you.

Living in China there is a large knitting community. I see women all over knitting elaborate sweaters with tiny needles; however, because I can't speak very much Chinese, it is hard to feel part of the community. In the gloomy dark rainy weather of Gansu Province, listening to your podcast while knitting has been absolutely wonderful in a warming way. Thank you.

I love your description of the sea view from your window. I love the sea and live near it and its so wonderful to hear someone else describe the color changes from the light of the sun that I have noticed myself.

Apologies for the spelling errors I've just noticed on my comment - it is hard to type when the cat is between me, the keyboard and the screen...*sigh*

I have just found you, so decided to start from Episode 1 (don't know why I didn't go for the Hallowe'en special, but there you are...)

Anyway, I was listening as i scrubbed the oven (well, something has to make it bearable!) and I was struck by how reminiscent it was of Radio 4 (whihc I don't listen to enough of, due to my life). I was thrilled when you then went on to explain why you were holding off on the photos.

I think your podcast achieved yor aims superbly. I could envisgae your sweater pretty well (not bad since I'm not an experienced knitter0 and I could see the view friom your window very clearly.

Thank you for a lovely blissful respite. I need to take more time just to sit and listen, and I suspect your podcast may help me do just that!

I’m actually listening to Ep 1 for the second time because it felt so great to knit to it, which I can’t do when I read a magazine.
