I am slowly catching up, listening to Cast-on in my car. I am sad to find that the wedding dress photo is no longer available. I would have loved to see it.

Hi Brenda,
I'm a Canadian living in Korea (the Dink Dolls came to visit me. That was fun^^). I have only the most basic functioning grasp of the language. Listening to you talk about knitting in Italy reminded me so much of knitting here. I have a helluva commute to and from work so I'm always knitting on the subway. I have people just reach out and look at the fabric and talk to me. I have learned the word for "pretty" :) They ask me all sorts of questions and just generally watch and are pleased that I'm knitting. Yarn shopping is always fun. I learned to say "socks" last time I was out. It's yang-mal in case you're wondering. Anyway, this episode just really made me smile. (So did the Whirled Peas episode that I was listening to while knitting on a bus in Thailand).
Thanks so much!

I didn't really get the sock stuff, even though I listened to your Podcast intently, I still couldn't get out of my mind the muscle memory of brown sockwool and visions of my husband's total unappreciation - until that was this week, when I started knitting a pair out of curiousity - the woold now available is amazing and I have revisited my decision.

Thank YOU SO MUCH....

Loved this latest! I've been a listener for awhile, but really felt compelled to comment today. Italy sounded so fabulous and I can't wait to try the Milan Stitch pattern. It was so beautiful and gave me the warm fuzzies thinking about the language of knitting the world round. I can totally relate to knitting envy and ripping out what SEEMED like a good project at the time; I've just done that three times with my mother-in-laws Christmas present. The Sunday Knitting essay was fabulous, and I got the giggles just imaging the come hithers my stash was sending me.

Also, the wedding dress couldn't have been lovelier, nor could the bride herself. Talk about a happy glow! Congratulations on getting it finished in time.

And finally, I'm going to have to go back and listen to the Yarn Diet podcast, because I need it. My darling husband is building me a yarn cabinet (by hand!) and I'm afraid that my stash won't fit into it when it's done--he has no idea the true extent of my stash. And then he'll divorce me for being an addict.

Loved the podcast. So good to hear you again. Loved Jill's piece on jealous pieces of knitting and laughed out loud at Franklyn's description of the passage of knitting time. My children have grown up with a mother who never talked in terms of minutes but of when she got to the end of the row. Have a good holiday and look forward to hearing you again in the New Year.

Hi Brenda......here is another suggestion for your 'Extreme Knitting' podcast. How about 'Double Knitting', especially socks. Thanks, Shirley
