Leg: CO 66 sts. Divide evenly over three needles (22 sts per needle) and join to begin round, being careful not to twist stitches. Work in Rib Pattern for 1-1/2 inches.
Begin Cable/Lace stitch pattern and work for 7-8 inches (approximately 15-20 pattern repeats) or until leg is desired length, ending with Row 3 of Cable/Lace Pattern.
Heel Flap:
On last row of stich pattern rearrange stitches so that 33 are on first needle, 17 sts on second needle, and 16 sts on third needle as follows:
Move the last stitch on needle three into position as first stitch of needle one, knit three repeats of Cable/Lace stitch pattern, ending final pattern with p1 instead of p2. This will center the 11 stitch repeat on the first needle. The heel flap is knit back and forth over the 33 sts divided between needles 2 and 3 only, until the enough of the heel flap has been knit so that heel stitches may comfortably be combined onto one needle. Turn your work after each row of the heel flap.
